The southern Thai Province of Phatthalung is the number one destination for tourists — as long as they’re birds. 187 different species flock to Thalee Noi, a pristine wetland that’s also a traditional fishing area. Our June 2013 visit to Patthalung revealed some high-adrenaline attractions too, and we go white water rafting with scores of screaming schoolchildren from neighbouring provinces.
