“Left of the Dial” was a radio spin-off from the TV show I created and hosted for MTV, “120 Minutes”. The daily five-minute show was syndicated to over 200 college radio stations across America in 1991-1992, and featured music news and original in-studio live performances. The show concentrated on strictly underground, up-and-coming music – and provided crucial exposure to artists such as Moby, Sonic Youth, and Hole’s Courtney Love.
